Mike Tyson says he is on the verge of death
In an interview given to Friday Night Fights on ESPN, the American former boxer Mike Tyson said he was on the verge of death because of his addiction to alcohol and drugs.
“I’m a bad guy sometimes. I did a lot of bad things and I want to be forgiven. In order for me to be forgiven, and I hope they forgive me, I had to change my life. I want to live a different life now. I want to live a sober life. I don’t want to die,” said the former athlet.
Tyson said he spent six days without drinking or taking drugs, which he considered a miracle.
“…. Well, this is some interesting stuff. I’ve been … I haven’t drank or took drugs in six days. For me, that’s a miracle. I was lying to everybody else who thinks I’m sober, but I’m not. This is my sixth day. I’m never going to use again.”
Tyson was world heavyweight champion in the 80’s and had a glorious time in which his followers didn’t bet for the possibility of winning but for the number of assault in which he was going to knock his contender. In Ecuador he had many followers and his fights were broadcasted live on national television.
