Baltasar Garzon, the Spanish lawyer representing Julian Assange has said he is worried about the WikiLeaks founder’s health due to the pressure on him as he fights efforts to extradite him from Britain.

“I am worried about his psychological and physical condition, because the tension he is experiencing is very great,” said Garzon.

Julian Assange has been in the embassy since June 19 seeking political asylum in Ecuador.

Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa reiterated today to Christine Assange, mother of Julian Assange, that he will adopt a ‘sovereign’ decision regarding the request for political asylum. MZ
