Posted On 06 May 2014
On Tuesday, the plenary of the National Assembly shall submit the draft Law of National Councils for Equality to its second debate at 9:30 a.m., according to the chairman of the committee of Collective Rights and Assemblywoman of Alianza PAIS (AP) Zobeida Gudino, who will lead the proposal.
The project seeks to create boards of gender, intergenerational, peoples and nationalities, disabilities, and human mobilization, which will replace five state entities that have been working with extended functions for almost 6 years.
Each council will have 10 members: 5 members of civil society and 5 state functions.
