Barack Obama and Mitt Romney Face Technical Tie
Posted On 20 Apr 2012
A recent poll revealed that the current president of the United States, Barack Obama does not have the advantage against the Republican Mitt Romney. According to an investigation by the New York Times/ CBS, both candidates for the presidency are in technical tied with a 46% of vote intentions.
This is the first time that there is not a difference on favour of Obama. Romney gained the edge when his rival Rick Santorum abandoned the Republican candidate race.
The latest poll showed that 54% of the Republicans are now behind Romney. The competition between Obama and Romney has been expected for a while, since a poll made by Reuters showed that the president’s popularity had waned by eight points. (AV)
