U.S. President Barack Obama paid tribute to actor Dustin Hoffman and rock band Led Zeppelin for their “passion” through the years “from its humble beginnings to the top of their profession.”
Obama gave them the Kennedy annual honorary awards, one of the highest honors that the U.S. government gives to the world of culture.
The musician Buddy Guy, comedian David Letterman and the ballerina Natalia Makarova also received this distinction.
