Bon Jovi Honored Firefighters on the 9/11 Anniversary

Rock singer Jon Bon Jovi returned Wednesday to a fire station in Manhattan to pay tribute and commemorate the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The New Jersey native was filmed singing “ America The Beautiful” by a team of NBC television for a special program prepared for Saturday’s “ NFL Kickoff 2011: Back to Football.” Jovi sang the same song for a program that was broadcast across America on September 23, 2001, shortly before the start of the first games of the NFL after the attacks.

The singer said in an interview after Wednesday’s presentation that it was like “moving this moment back to then.”
