Brazil is getting more expensive due to the World Cup
According to a report by BBC Brazil, prices for flights, hotels and other services in this country, will be too high, to the point of concern to the Brazilian authorities, in charge of preparations for the World Cup.
Newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, reported that those who want to see the opening game on June 12, will pay $ 1,095 for a roundtrip flight from Sao Paulo to Rio; when several months ago, there were deals on the same route that cost a quarter of that value.
As for hotels, $200 is the Price for a two stars hotel room per day in Rio. Costs of restaurants, bars, parks and all amenities in the cities that will host matches, will also increase.
Five months into the 2014 World Cup , authorities worry that this price hike harm the country’s image. Although for many European the prices are the same, what makes a difference is the quality of service.
