Brazilian Judo Fighter, Sarah Menezes
The Brazilian judo yesterday showed its growing prominence with two medals on the opening day of London 2012.
Sarah Menezes, 22, beated, in the final round of “minus 48 kilos”, the Romanian Alina Dumitru, who won four years ago in Beijing, and achieved a success that no woman judo fighter had for 20 years.
The Brazilian joy was completed by the third place of Felipe Kitadai in the “minus 60 kilos” category, in which the Russian Arsen Galstyan became champion. (MZ)
