Cervecería Would Have Two Days to Cancel Their Debt to Former Workers

Posted On 17 Aug 2019

After a battle of nearly three years, the former Cerveceria Nacional workers have won a trial against the company. Cervecería will have to pay $90 million due to unpaid utilities for more than fifteen years. The deadline will be in 48 hours.

Roberto Guevara, president of the 3rd Criminal Division Court, denied all the appeals filed by Cervecería Nacional confirming the action of protection issued last year by Pedro Iriarte, constitutional judge from the 12 ° Civil Court.

Guevara, confirmed that the Industrial Relations Minister, Richard Evans, violated the rights which recognize and guarantee the several articles of the: Constitution, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and the American Convention on Human Rights. Guevara alleged that Espinoza run over the constitutional and legal duty of the sentence.

Guevara denied the rumors about his sign in a previous sentence in favor of the former workers.
