César Carrión’s Hearing Prosecution Began
This morning began the hearing prosecution against the former director of the Police Hospital, César Carrión, charged with attempted murder against President Rafael Correa, as accomplice extent for his role on September 30.
The hearing takes place since 09h00 in the 5 th Court of Criminal of Pichincha chaired by Dr. Hugo Sierra.
The presidential adviser Francisco Latorre came to appear as a witness in the case, said Sonorama Radio.
Colonel Carrion has been in prison for seven months. His trial was supposed to be held a week ago, but it was stopped because of the vacations of the prosecutor handling the case, Luis Enriquez.
In response, Jane Orbe, Carrion’s wife, to press the settlement of the case began a hunger strike that has more than 12 days outside the building of the Attorney General.
