Chinese kitchens are not yet distributed in Ecuador
An agreement with Correos del Ecuador (Ecuadorian Postal service) to start distributing the Chinese induction cookers that entered the country in May, and which will be delivered to the beneficiaries of the Human Development Bonus enrolled in the program, has not yet been signed.
The first batch of 1,000 kitchens arrived to the port of Guayaquil in late May. Until the last month it was expected that a first group of 20 000 kitchen worktops of 4 burners arrives to the country.
The official plan envisages the import of 500 000 Chinese induction kitchens, including worktops and models with oven, until the end of the year. A loan of $ 250 million was granted by China for the import of the artifacts.
According to data of the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion, it is estimated that about 90 000 of 444 562 beneficiaries of the bonus already have an electricity meter that supports 220 volts (V), which is required for the new induction cookers.
