Christian Benítez, two more goals for the America

Yesterday, the Ecuadorian scored two goals that gave the Aguilas del America a tie with a result of 2-2 against the Rayados of Monterrey, where he plays with Walter Ayovi, another Ecuadorian, in tne first leg to the semi-finasl in the Mexican soccer closing tournament.

Benitez scored in the minute 51 and again in the minute 70. For the Monterrey team, the Chilean Humberto Suazo scored  at minute 29 and the Mexican Aldo de Nigris at minute 74.

The tie favors the America team that will play as local in the next game on Saturday at the Azteca Stadium. ‘Las aguilas’  will be classified if they win or tie,as long as  ´Los rayados’ don’t score three goals or more.

Tomorrow in the other semi-final, the Cruz Azul team will visit  Santos Laguna in a series that will have its return match on Sunday.
