Google introduced a new feature of its browser, Chrome, which reduces data consumption by 50%. Chrome updates serve both for mobile phones that work with Android system and for those who has Apple’s iOS.
On the note of explanation, Google says: “when it is enabled, bandwidth management and Chrome data compression can reduce the use of data up to 50% when browsing the Internet with Chrome for Android and iOS. This function also activated the technology of safe navigation of Chrome that helps to protect the user against malicious web pages”
To begin using this tool, is necessary to go, within Chrome, to “Settings”, then “bandwidth management”, then “reduce use of data”. Then just enable the option (ON). From that menu you can check how much bandwidth you save per month to navigate with Chrome”.
Apart from the translator, which expands to the Apple ecosystem, Chrome also improves access to favorite sites. When users visit a site that they want to save, they just select “Add to home screen” in the menu of the toolbar.
From then on, to open a saved web site, just touch its icon on the home screen. For some sites, the shortcut opens in a full screen and will be shown as a stand-alone application in the Android applications selector.
To test all these new features on the devices using Android and iOS the latest versions of Chrome for mobile must be downloaded from Play Store and App Store. “These updates will be implemented in the coming days,” Google promises.
