City Hall signed a contract for the construction of artificial beach
“Guayaquil Siglo XXI” City Hall Foundation and the company Inmomariuxi signed a contract for the construction of an artificial lagoon and beach in the park of the Coviem citaddel, south of Guayaquil.
The construction will cost three million dollars and its execution period shall be 240 days. The City Hall reported that they will work in two shifts and even on holidays.
This popular resort, unique in the country, have an area of one hectare and an average depth of 30 centimeters (cm) and a maximum of 1.20 cm and also have areas marked for children. The space will also include dressing rooms, restrooms, beach and seating area and an outdoor gym.
Mayor Jaime Nebot said the project will benefit sectors such as El Guasmo, Isla Trinitaria and parishes Ximena and Febres Cordero. Also cooperatives and citadels of the peripheral area of the Pío Jaramillo Alvarado Avenue.
Last week the City Hall proposed a new plan to turn the city into a national and international tourist destination and strengthen the work done in recent years for this purpose. The artificial spa is part of the new tourist proposed
