Clooney Arrested for Protesting Outside Sudanese Embassy
During this Friday morning, actor George Clooney was arrested for protesting in front of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, USA. Last Wednesday, Clooney testified before the Congress about “a campaign of murder” under way in Sudan.
The actor stated that he and a small group of activists managed to enter one of the ravaged areas, the Nuba Mountains in South Kordofan, there they found children filled with shrapnel, and a 9-year-old with both hand blown off. Clooney revealed this before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Clooney informed that such attacks are organized by Sudan’s government, led by its president, Omar al-Bashir, along with government official Ahmad Harun and Defense Minister Abdelrahim Mohamed Hussein. These three men are responsible for the attacks registered in Darfur. (AV)
