CNE will deliver provincial credentials
The National Electoral Council (CNE) will begin the delivery of credentials for provincial assembly members starting tomorrow until April 15. So far only Carchi and Morona Santiago members have received their documents.
According to the CNE’s President, Domingo Paredes, in an interview with Gamatv station, tomorrow will be recognized the winning candidates of Zamora Chinchipe, Loja on Thursday, El Oro and Cotopaxi on Friday, and Galapagos on Saturday.
Next Monday the credentials will be delivered in Azuay, Santa Elena, Imbabura and Orellana.
Finally, from Wednesday April 10 to Monday 15, will be delivered in the other provinces, including Guayas, Manabi and Pichincha.
The CNE is currently planning the sectionals to be held in February 2014. 221 mayors, 46 governors and vice governors, 552 urban councilors, 747 rural councilors and 4080 members of parish councils will be elected. The agency estimates that nearly 50 political organizations will participate.
