Cofiec Members dismissed
The Superintendency of Banks decided to remove the five members of the Cofiec Bank Board and imposed financial penalties to five other former officials.
This decision was given after an inspection to the granting of a $ 800,000 credit to Gaston Duzac, which is currently unpaid.
The members of the Board had been in operation since March 15 of this year, and they are: Germanico Maya, Omar Unda, Roberto Sandoval, Diana Macancela and Ivan Guerrero.
The former chief executive, Antonio Buñay was fined $ 7,886.82, a former internal auditor was imposed a penalty of $ 5,257.88 and three other former officials with the rank of managers must pay $ 3,943.41 each. (MZ)
