Colombia marches against the FARC violence
This Friday, in different Colombian cities, will be held several marches against the FARC. Also, Colombian immigrants in New York, Miami (USA), London (England) and Madrid (Spain) will also show their rejection on the streets.
The marches began on Friday, February 15, at the three points of Bogota, in the 127th to seventh, in the 72 with Seventh, and in the National Park, from 9 in the morning, from there they planned to head towards the Plaza de Bolivar and carry out a minute of silence for all the victims that the conflict has claimed. At noon the citizens will read a manifesto against the FARC.
The purpose of the movement is to reject the latest terrorist attacks and abductions against civilians by the guerrilla group, while peace talks are being negotiated in La Habana (Cuba).
The initiative is a “horizontal mobilization” that comes from the people themselves without any organization and at the same time, seeks to “restore the credibility of social mobilization.”
