Singer, producer and actress Beyoncé Knowles released last Tuesday in New York a documentary about her life, “Life is But a Dream”.

Beyonce hopes that someday her production will be a source of inspiration for Blue Ivy, her one year old daughter with husband Jay-Z. “I’m hoping that it can comfort her and inspire her in her life when she needs it,” she stated.

This film documents the life of the artist without censorship. It’s based on personal conversations that the 31 year-old singer recorded in the last two years with a video camera on her computer. It includes home videos of her and her two sisters, personal conversations like a spontaneous abortion, reports of a faked pregnancy and her father’s dismissal as manager.

“This movie has really been my therapy. I’ve healed from so many wounds and I’ve been able to understand why some of the things I’ve been through happened , why I went through those things and made me feel really proud, and hopefully I can inspire other people.”

Beyonce executive produced the film, which she co-directed with Ed Burke. “Life is But a Dream” will be broadcast by HBO tomorrow.
