Colombia Starts FTA with Protests

In Colombia the beginning of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States was not well received by the Colombian society and did not reflect the expectations and optimism of President Juan Manuel Santos.
The terrorist attack recorded yesterday morning in Bogota and protests by student groups, particularly outside the National University of Colombia, eclipsing the enforcement of the agreement that Colombia sealed at the last Summit of the Americas. (ARL)
