Defense Minister Fernando Cordero has referred to retired military personnel as “The Three Stooges,” the same that in the morning of Wednesday, February 3 staged a sit-in outside the Ministry of Defense to protest against the regime’s intention to make the Institute of Social Security of the Armed Forces, ISSFFA, reimburse $ 38 million to the Ministry of Environment for the sale (apparently overpriced) of the land where the Samanes Park, in Guayaquil, was built.
Cordero has denied, in an interview with Radio Publica that six members of the Board of the ISSFFA, had voted against the requested refund, as stated by General Ernesto Gonzalez, former head of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces. The minister said no vote has been held.
