Cordicom defended its reports on the case of cartoonist Bonil
The Regulation Council of Communication (Cordicom) assured on Wednesday, February 11 that the reports it elaborated and have been used in the process the Superintendent of Communication (Supercom) follows against the cartoonist of El Universo newspaper, Xavier Bonilla aka “Bonil,” are pronouncements that “keep perfect coherence.”
“The conclusions of the technical and legal reports from the Cordicom save perfect coherence with the request of the Supercom, with the implementation of the Organic Communications Law and the processing of administrative offenses established in the regulations issued by this Council,” said the Cordicom in a statement.
The organism assured that its report concluded that there was “discrimination” by socioeconomic status’ because of the pejorative reference which, in general, is made of the poor people and, specifically, about the origin of Assemblyman Agustín Delgado.”
