Supercom presented study on compliance of the media law
The Superintendency of Communication (SuperCom) presented on February 11 the results of a study on compliance of the Law of Communications, performed to 31 media.
For this study, the daily programming of 12 radios and 9 television channels was monitored, as well as the daily print edition of 9 newspapers and the Vistazo magazine.
The study was performed by Romel Jurado, former adviser of the Commission of the Assembly, which was commissioned to make the Communications Law.
Jurado pointed out that a total of 7746 contents were evaluated, of which several conclusions were reached. For example, he assuredthat there is a spirit of cooperation from the media to comply with the provisions in the media law, however, there are still issues to be polished. The publication of intercultural contents, he said, is one of the issues that has brought more problems and currently it is not completely fulfilled.
