Correa conditions request of suspending sabbatine liaison

Posted On 18 Feb 2014

Imagen 5During an interview this Tuesday morning at Radio Majesty, President Rafael Correa questioned the request of Domingo Paredes, president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), of suspending the sabatine liaison on Saturday, a day before the sectional elections.

“If Mr. Domingo Paredes assures me that we have a decent press and does not manipulate the information, and does not try day after day to harm the Citizen Revolution (…) i will not realize the sabatine liaison” Correa said.

According to the president with the request of Paredes, “it is restricting my freedom of expression, I can not say, on the liaison vote on such a list, but I have the right to say Augusto Barrera won the debate to Rodas”.

He also noted that he will ask their constituents if they want the sabatine liaison suspension. “I will obey my constituents,” but he did not explain how it perform this query.
