Correa: Normality and democracy to Venezuela
That the transition develops normally and that on April 14 the Venezuelan people choose, democratically, a successor to Hugo Chavez, said the president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa during the inauguration of a conference organized to discuss reforms to the Commission on Human Rights, in Guayaquil.
The president, when addressing the situation in Venezuela, said that Chavez, who died on March 5, “is irreplaceable”, but noted that “it is necessary to must move forward, precisely because of the memory of this big Latin American.”
He took the occasion to send his greetings to the “hurt” Venezuelan people and sent a “brotherly loving and supportive” hug to all of them, “Due to the death of their president, the historic leader of our America, and personal dear friend and brother.”
