Correa requests new audit for Tame by report abnormalities
President Rafael Correa requested to perform an audit to Tame after knowing there were anomalies in the statement of profits by the 2012 management.
The new management, led by Fernando Guerrero, revealed that there were losses by $ 3 million, and not $ 1.3 million profit as they had reported.
Correa made the announcement in his National Weekly Address without specifying names.
“I have asked for an explanation, I have ordered a special examination to the Comptroller. A few months ago the Tame report was delivered, which announced that profits obtained in 2012 were for $ 1.3 million. With the new administration balances are established and indeed Tame had $ 3 million in losses,” claimed Correa.
In addition, a team may have been formed, which “basically came from the competence of Aerogal’s executive officers (Galapagos Airlines), and this must be investigated. They can not fool this way the President,” he said.
