correa-visita-esteroPresident Rafael Correa visited yesterday the 17 and F sector, in the suburbs of Guayaquil, where works on the recovery of Salado Estuary are being carried out. The President checked the fulfillment of the cleaning and water oxygenation.

Paola Galvez, Zonal Director of the Ministry of Housing, said that the project will have 5 linear parks along the banks of the estuary. In zone 5 $835,000 have already been invested in cleaning and 650 houses have been removed, whose families are in the housing plan `Housing Partner´.

Correa asked the community to prevent contamination and noted that one of the priorities is the construction of sewers and warned that if the Municipality does not do it, it will be done by the Government and will be deducted from the corresponding assignment because now the law allows it.
