Correa will not apologize for disrespecting folk artist
On Tuesday, September 3, the regime leader, Rafael Correa, said he will correct the information regarding the singer Jaime Guevara, but will not apologize.
During his Saturday broadcast, August 31, the leader explained the incident of last Thursday when Guevara made an obscene gesture with the middle finger of his hand.
Given this, Correa suggested that the popular artist was drunk and drugged, labeling him as “poor man” and again reiterated that he will not tolerate any lack of respect towards him ever.
However, Guevara suffers from seizures due to neurological disease and a teetotaler.
“This man does not deserve it (the apology), he caused the incident,” said the leader of the regime during a press conference he had with the media last Tuesday in Guayaquil.
“You can not offend the president and while I’m president I’ll defend that principle,” he said.
