Crab Ban Will End Tomorrow

The officials of the Ecuadorian Undersecretary of Fishing Resources of Magap informed that the crab ban that started on August 15 seized a total of 1,094 crabs. The ban will end tomorrow.
During the ban the fishing, transportation, possession, processing and commercialization of the crustacean was forbidden according to the Ministry Agreement Nº 16 of February 16 of 2004.
Douglas Burgos Camposano, the current director of the Fishing Control pointed out that there have also been several controls regarding the golden fish that will be banned until October 7. So far 495 pounds of this fish have been seized. (AV)
