New Emotion Detector Can Detect Lies
Posted On 14 Sep 2011
A latest new camera system can detect lies by watching the facial expressions people make when they talk. Many experts believe that the system can be a great aid to security services.
Professor Hassan Ugail from Bradford University, added that it successfully discriminates truth and lies in about two-thirds of cases. The system was developed by a team from the universities of Bradford and Aberystwyth in conjunction with the UK Border Agency, their work was unveiled yesterday at the British Science Festival in Bradford.
Years of research on how humans unconsciously, involuntarily reveal their emotions by shifting their expression and the flow of blood to the skin allowed the creation of this system. (AV)
