Criminal gang that smuggled cocaine into Spain from Venezuela was dismantled

Security Forces dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to smuggling cocaine into Spain, which brought the drugs from Venezuela through an international courier company. The operation left five men detained and seized 7.2 kilos of the alkaloid.

The criminal network had different ways to smuggle the drugs in Venezuela and knew how to bypass the controls that are commonly subjected to international packages.

The Civil Guard said through a statement that the organization leader escaped. However, there is already an international warrant for his arrest.

The investigation revealed that the alkaloid was manipulated with similar looking products, less value to increase their weight and thereby profit.
