National films with good acceptance in 2013
Nearly thirteen national films stood out during 2013, both nationally and internationally. According to Juan Martin Cueva, Director of CNCine, this number is a record of premieres in one year.
“Overall a very productive year for the number and that some of the awards they have received at festivals and exhibitions,” says Cueva.
It also ensures that next year there will be more than 10 releases.
The latest film by Ecuadorian director Sebastian Cordero, “Europe Report” (produced in the U.S.) , received critical acclaim internationally. It currently ranks sixth among the best science fiction films 2013 at io9 list.
Also, the Spanish-Ecuadorian film Asier Biok Eta (Asier and me), won this year’s Iriziar award at the San Sebastian Festival.

6. – The facilitator, Victor Arregui, 15 thousand.
7 – . Distant closeness, Alex Schlenker and Diego Coral, with 10 thousand.
8. – Break a leg, Victor Arregui, with 10 thousand.
9. – Tale without fairies, Sergio Briones, with 3,800 thousand.
