CTE implements agents on bicycles for holiday traffic control

Bicycle agents are the new addition prepared by Authorities of the Transit Commission of Ecuador (CTE for its Spanish acronym) in order to prevent further damage in the bicycle lane of the Guayaquil-Salinas Highway caused on last Carnival holiday.
Michelle Doumet, director of CTE, recalled that the penalty for trespassing the bicycle track is a fine of $ 51 and 4.5 points off the drivers license.
The National Police and the Armed Forces will provide the services of 10,000 soldiers, plus 1,000 civilians from various government institutions are joining, all to maintain order, especially in the many religious events during the three-day holiday.
