Daily reports on situation of Cotopaxi Volcano

The Geophysical Institute (IG) of the National Polytechnic School reported yesterday that 66 long-period events were recorded in the Cotopaxi volcano in the last 24 hours, less than the number recorded last Sunday.
Additionally, an emission at 500 meters above the crater of this volcano was observed.
The IG announced it will issue a daily report on the status of the volcano and before the event of an increase or change in its behavior, it would issue a special report.
The activity status refers to whether or not the volcano is erupting.
