The transition team of the president-elect, Daniel Noboa, met with representatives of the National Assembly and the Foreign Ministry to define the change of command ceremony.
The transition team of President-elect Daniel Noboa held meetings in Quito, this October 30, 2023, in view of the next change of government. This time the objective was to discuss the details of the inauguration of the elected president.
According to his team, the tentative date for Noboa’s takeover will be Friday, December 1. Since they take into account that the National Assembly takes office on November 15.
To this end, the incoming president ‘s team plans to hold a dress rehearsal for the presidential change of command session at the end of November.
The president-elect’s team was made up of Gabriela Sommerfeld, Iván Carmigniani, Katherine Gafter, Mónica Palencia, Arturo Félix, Cynthia Gellibert, María Beatriz Moreno and Juan José Reyes.
Digna Gutiérrez and Galo Ledesma, communications and protocol of the National Assembly, also participated in the meeting; and Andrés Cisneros, Óscar Noboa and Helena Yánez, from the Foreign Ministry protocol.
