Democratic Group Started to Collect Signatures
The movement “La Concertacion” started to gather businessman, scholars, former government officials, and current member of the opposition to propose a democratic alternative for the country.
Yesterday, its founders began the process to collect signatures, in order to register themselves in the National Electoral Council, with a meeting in Rocafuerte square. Around 200 people filled the square wearing shirts that read “Together we can” they also carried balloons and banners.
The coordinator of the movement Cesar Rohon, a former assemblyman of the PSC party, invited everyone to approach and cast their signature. Rohon expects to gather 250 thousand signatures. He also made a calling to other political organizations that wish to join their democratic plan. (AV)
