Fernando Cordero, president of the National Assembly, said that Borja is misinformed

The chairman of the Presidential Technical Commission of the New Financial Architecture and current leader of the movement Citizen Power (Poder Ciudadano), Diego Borja, said that he is going to take legal actions against Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño.

Borja says Patiño caused him “moral, professional, economic and political damage” by reporting that he was involved in the scandal of the forged signatures, without proof.

After Borja’s claim, Ricardo Patiño published on the website of the Foreign Ministry, that a mistake was committed, “someone made an obvious mistake putting that Borja had been separated from the government over an issue on false signatures,” said the Chancellor.

However, Borja said: “While the Chancellor retracts the statement of the institution he leads, he has not withdrawn from what he put on his Twitter account”. (MZ)
