Yesterday, world number two, Novak Djokovic defeated, without problems, Argentine Leonardo Mayer in 3 straight sets in the second round of the Australia Open. Spanish David Ferrer (# 3) and Czech Tomas Berdych (# 7) also passed to the next round.
Serbian tennis player beat Mayer, number 98 in the world ranking, by 6-0, 6-4, 6-4. This is the 26th consecutive victory for Djokovic, who has not lost since the U.S. Open final against Spanish Rafael Nadal.
“I am satisfied; it was better than the first game. I hope to continue to advance,” said former number one.
