Donoso: “bill of public-private partnerships should be corrected”
Assemblyman Patricio Donoso, when commenting on the draft law on public-private partnerships, said that there is a popular adage: “Better late than never,” and although it’s been 8 and a half years, time in which the government did not consider the private sector, now it resorts to it, which is fine, but the government must correct the errors contained in this new legislation.
Donoso said that the law is leaving out the strategic sectors of the economy. The other, of public-private partnerships (APP for its Spanish acronym) establishes five members, all from the public sector, “where the private sector is?”
A third error to be corrected is related to the resolution of controversies, as tax and regulatory issues fall outside.
Certainly this law has good things said the legislator, but also negative, and that must be corrected.
