Drivers ask the President guarantees to work during the FUT strike
Yesterday, bus drivers organized a march that came out from the Patria avenue and headed towards the Rumiñahui Coliseum.
In the Rumiñahui Coliseum, the heads of the passengers and cargo transport groups expressed their appreciation for the efforts related to this activity and ensured their support against the national strike scheduled for August 13.
Managers of at least nine federations also asked President Correa to provide guarantees for drivers to be allowed to work normally during the national strike that has been called up by the undefined nature of the United Workers Front.
The president was accompanied by Vice President Jorge Glas. The drivers gave them sweaters with colors of the Ecuadorian flag.
