Duchess of Alba to the altar again at age 85
Before God and about 30 guests, the Duchess of Alba, Cayetana Fitz-James Stuartmarried this morning in Alfonso Díez in the Seville Palace of Dueñas.
The couple got what they both wanted: a simple wedding with family and close friends. However, the Duchess does not skimp on details such as her wedding dress designed by Victor and Luccin, close friends of the Duchess, pink suit and adorned at the waist with a discreet green ribbon to match her bridal bouquet.
The only thing that overshadowed the complete happiness of the duchess was her youngest daughter, Eugenia, could not attend her wedding because of acute varicella and high fevers. Likewise her son James and his wife, Inka Martí, also went to the link due to a scheduled trip.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and the guests enjoyed a cocktail, all began with a gazpacho, paying homage to her country, to continue with rice and garlic soup with lobster. After the exquisite meal came the international touch by a Wellington with sirloin and rice pudding for dessert and bacon from heaven. To end this special menu the bride and the groom cut the wedding cake.
