Ebola virus outbreak in Uganda
This month, a deadly Ebola virus outbreak has killed 14 people in Western Uganda, this statement was made on Saturday by Ugandan health officials. The especulation of the cause of a strange disease had many people fleeing their homes.
Officials of a World Health Organization gave a news conference in Kampala this Saturday to ratify that the virus is “an outbreak of Ebola” in Uganda. Laboratory investigations done in the Uganda Virus Research Institute confirmed that the strange disease reported in Kibaale is indeed Ebola hemorrhagic fever.
In the past weeks Kibaale, a district in mid-westen Uganda, was troubled by a mysterious illness that seemed to have appeared from nowhere. According to health officials reporters in Kampala that the 14 dead were among 20 people reported with the disease. (AV)
