CNE Falsifies Thousands of Voters Signatures
The discrepancies of the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) regarding the certification of signatures were ratified yesterday when hundreds of voters verified that their names appeared in the data base of the government entity as members of political movements without having signed any document that registers them.
Social networks became the tools of the people to express their contempt and denounce the falsification of their identities. Internet users discovered that if they inserted their ID numbers in the main page of the CNE they appeared registered to a political movement.
Yesterday CNE had previously habilitated a link (www.cne.gob.ec) for consults, but was blocked after 10:30 (GMT) when many complaints were made through social networks.
The strong complaints were not without motive, since many internet users appeared to have given their signatures to political parties such as Alianza Pais, Pachakutik, Avanza, Frente Radical Alfarista, among others. AV
