Foreign Trade Minister Pablo Campana said Wednesday that a government commission analyzes the possibility of renewing Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs). “We are working hand in hand with the Chancellery, the Office of the Attorney General, the National Secretariat for Planning and Development (Senplades) and the Economic Front, so that in the next few days a draft is ready for its revision by President Lenin Moreno.
The intention is to renew the contracts this year,” said the Secretary of State.
The renewal of the BITs was one of the topics addressed in the countries visited by Minister Campana during his tour in September through China, the US, Norway, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Sweden. (I)
