Ecuador and Qatar seal agreements in agriculture, economy and sports

Three agreements in agriculture, economy, youth and sports were signed on Monday night, after the official visit of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to the Carondelet Palace.
The Arab monarch arrived on Monday afternoon to Quito. The presidential meeting began after 5:30 p.m. in the Government Palace, where he held a meeting with the Ecuadorian President, Lenin Moreno, to finalize the signing of agreements to strengthen bilateral relations.
In the Yellow room and in the presence of government delegations, Hamad Al-Thani received the highest award for merit of the Ecuadorian State, which is the Great Collar Medal, as a sign of the friendship between the two nations.
Moreno told him that Ecuador is a country of opportunities; while the Qatari manifested his happiness for his arrival; and he praised the agreements in economic and tourism matters that had been discussed in a brief meeting reserved.
Although the content was not detailed, agreements were signed in agriculture for the exchange of agricultural products, in areas of sports and youth, and on economic cooperation, which will be carried out in a joint commission composed of representatives of Ecuador and Qatar.
Then it was planned to offer an official dinner, and at 9:00 pm the emir would be fired. (I)
