Ecuador has its new Queen
Our country already won a new representative in the most important beauty contest of the year, Miss Ecuador 2013.
Constanza Baez, 22, 1.75 cm tall and native of the province of Pichincha, is the woman that will represent us in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant.
Baez is a graduate in economics from the Universidad Santa Maria, with expertise on project evaluations, currently pursuing her studies as a public accountant at the Universidad Espiritu Santo (UEES). She speaks English and German, and is a member of her college volleyball team.
The event had the collaboration of more than 60 people who were in charge of the scenery, the transmission of the event and assisting the 15 candidates.
The gala, held at the Centro Civico Eloy Alfaro de Guayaquil Theater, had planned to gather about 1,000 spectators, the audience, the judges and guest artists.
As every year, the event was broadcast by Gama TV and counted with artistic participation of Juan Fernando Velasco, LaVivi Parra and Dre, besides the presence of other beauty queens.
The new Belle revealed that what motivated her to participate in the contest. The opportunity to work for the people who need it most “in the hard work carried out by the organization as well as being the spokesperson for my country and take very high the name of all Ecuadorians. ”
Prior to receiving the crown, Baez was also chosen as Miss Heaven 2013. Also, Nathaly Arroba was appointed Miss International 2013, while Giuliana Villavicencio was chosen as Miss Supranational 2013; they have to represent the country in both international competitions.
