Ecuador: one step to the TOP 10
Ecuador moved up one position after the fall of Greece, and is one step away from getting into the top 10 teams in the world. In February it was announced that Ecuador was ranked 12, and now is located at number 11 with 1037 points.
Few changes have occurred in the last month in the FIFA ranking, which is headed, in order, by Spain, Germany and Argentina, while waiting for the qualifier games for Brazil 2014, some critical, to be held in March.
In the top 10 list there was no change, so the pódium is still occupied by Argentina and Colombia is placed sixth, ahead of Portugal.
The next list will be published within a month, after the qualifier matches for the World Cup-2014 are played, among which are the duel of Ecuador against Paraguay, the decisive France-Spain and other selections such as Brazil that should play friendlies against top teams (against Italy and Russia).
