Ecuador prepares to celebrate Carnival

The Carnival is approching and Ecuador prepares his popular destinations for the holiday.

Beaches of Ecuador

The rich cuisine in San Pablo (Santa Elena) would be the first stop for the tourists, since the city has a wide variety of seafood, but it also has other attractions. In this holiday there’s the bird watching season in the Ecuasal sector and people can also take a trip in a canoe to the open sea. On Monday, February 11 there will be a show with bartenders juggling bottles. These were the proposals that Luis Tenempaguay, the president of the Lodges Association made.

Fun at the sea

The sea of Salinas, the classic beach, consists of the beaches, La Chocolatera, la Loberia, Mar Bravo and other attractions, plus there’s the beach of Salinas (Santa Elena), where The tourists can do water sports. There is also the entertainment of the Malecon where the night clubs are. Salinas is a place  enjoy  with family or friends.

The versatility of Manta (Manabi), a city rich in seafood dishes, its beaches attract many tourists and the friendliness of the locals is what identifies them. Manta’s climate is variable, something unusual in other parts of the country, apart from the colourful beaches, tourists can also enjoy the cold of the Pacoche rainforest. This was pointed out by Celia Higuera, president of the Chamber of Tourism of Manta.

Jambelí Island is another destination that travellers can not miss to visit and enjoy its beach in Jambelí Island (El Oro) since the tourism and hotel locations have been restored. Said Artemio Mosquera, a Jambelí tour operator.

The small village of Salango (Manabi) has some attractions; tourists can delight their palate with dishes made with the huayaype fish or seafood like a barnacle. It has a museum and a quiet beach with a beautiful island where you can dive (for $ 10).

San Pablo de Katetsiaya (Shushufindi, Sucumbios) can be fun for travellers since they can go canoeing down the river Aguarico, they can also taste typical dishes like paiche (a fish of the area that can weigh up to a quintal) and enrich themselves with the culture of the Siekopai culture. Riobamba artisan district Plaza Roja (Red Square)

Riobama handcrafts are some of the tourist attractions that the city offers to domestic and foreign tourists. In the central square of Concepción, known as the Red Square, travellers can enjoy a true showcase of Quichua nationality. Indians selling clothes, hats, necklaces and multicolor earrings.

In Sigsig (Azuay) tourists can enjoy the Zhingate beaches where, besides playing in the aguita of the Santa Barbara river, it also has dishes like fired pork, guinea pig and roasted potatoes. In this carnival the town of longevity in Vilcabamba (Loja), will entertain tourists with rodeos, parades, the auction of a fine pitch pony, the dance of the centenarians, bicycle rides, the longevity regatta and the presentation of orchestras for all ages. The leader of Vilcabamba, Adalber Gahona, added that there will be controls to have parties in peace and avoid rough play like throwing ink, eggs, oils or grease.

Tourists visiting Macas, Morona Santiago, can enjoy a Pluriculturality Carnival startingon February 10th at the beaches of Upano River, where there will be sporting events like playing beach volleyball, typical food may also be enjoyed such as ayampacos and the traditional drink guayusa.

Tourists visiting Baños (Tungurahua) have many things to do, like visiting the Basilica of the Virgin of Rosario de Agua Santa, hot springs, waterfalls, trails. You can also practice extreme sports and observe the Tungurahua volcano. Tourists cannot miss to enjoy the dishes of the place and take a souvenir of their visit because from the local handicrafts.

Visit the second best coastal climate in Playas, Guayas, is one of the best options for many tourists, it has a wide range of dishes made with fresh seafood. It has the second best climate in the world, at sea you can fish, swim and surf. This is a very attractive destination for all travellers.
