Ecuadorian gastronomy and its chocolate were the protagonists of the commercial exhibitions held last September in South Korea and Singapore, reported the Pro Ecuador commercial office.
Roberto Intriago, executive director of Pro Ecuador, said that in Asia they showed, among other export products, shrimp, avocado oil, broccoli, products made from bananas and quinoa.
As a result of these promotional activities, commercial opportunities were generated for Ecuadorian shrimp companies, as well as a strategic alliance with an important Southeast Asian gastronomy academy to train culinary schools in Ecuador, Pro Ecuador said in a statement.
He added that with the support of the company República del Cacao, a large collection of limited edition desserts with Ecuadorian chocolate was presented at an event attended by investors, opinion leaders, and haute cuisine professionals.
According to Intriago, through the commercial promotion events carried out by Pro Ecuador in the Asian continent, companies in the region will analyze the possibility of exploring in the country an investment in the logistic management of ports.
This, in order to develop a closer relationship between Ecuador and Singapore, one of the main centers of world trade, ended the letter. (I)
