Ecuador qualifies again for United States Visa Lottery

Posted On 29 Sep 2017

Ecuadornews:

Ecuador qualified again for the diversity visa program, also known as a visa lottery, as announced by the US Embassy in the country on September 28, 2017, through a statement.

According to the information, the applications for the program will start on October 3 and end on November 7, 2017. The law allows a single application per person. Those interested in participating in the lottery must fill an electronic form on the official website and follow the instructions.

The statement from the Embassy adds that the application has no cost and also recommends “caution with people who offer to process your application in exchange for money.” The results will be available starting May 1, 2018. Those selected may apply for an immigrant visa, but its issuance is not guaranteed. The website of the embassy notes it is important that applicants keep the unique confirmation number since this will be the only way to check if they were selected. (I)
